Chicken Marination Ingredients

  • One kilogram of chicken, large cut and cleaned
  • Two tablespoons of ginger garlic paste
  • One cup of yogurt
  • One tablespoon of lemon juice
  • One teaspoon of garam masala
  • 1/4 teaspoon powdered nutmeg (Jayefal powder)
  • One-fourth teaspoon of mace powder (javitri powder)
  • One tablespoon of lal mirch powder, or red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon powdered black peppercorns
  • 5–6 Cashew nuts {make poppy seeds and cashew)
  • 2 tsp Poppy seeds(mix kaju and Poppy Seeds paste)
  • One tablespoon of refined oil
  • Salt(As much Required)

Rice Preparation Ingredients

  • One kilogram of long-grain basmati rice, cleaned and soaked for at least thirty minutes
  • 4-5 Cardamom in black
  • Three to four cinnamon sticks
  • Two tablespoons of salt
  • One lemon juice
  • One tablespoon of refined oil
  • For deep-frying potatoes
  • 4-5 large potatoes
  • Two tablespoons of refined oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon powdered red chili
  • 1½ teaspoon powdered cumin
  • Half a teaspoon of Ginger garlic paste
  • To taste, add 1/4 tsp garam masala powder and salt (As much as required).

Cooking Chicken

  • One medium-sized onion cut thinly.
  • Double-sticks of clarified butter (ghee)

Biryani Layering

  • Roughly a handful of mint, coriander, and a handful of barista (fried onion).
